Why it exists

Studying medicine does not fail for lack of material

It fails because the material is scattered across fifteen places, none of them works in the hospital basement, and half of them never say where their claims come from.

Genuinely offline

Everything — guides, images, sounds, calculators — ships inside the app. There is no "limited offline mode": it simply needs no network for anything you study.

There is no signal in the radiology basement either.

With the source in plain sight

Every calculator shows its formula and reference. Every image, its provenance and licence. Every AI answer, the guide it came from.

If you can't check it, you shouldn't memorise it.

The image first, the answer second

An atlas that prints the diagnosis next to the image trains nothing: it trains you to read the caption. In Medorax the interpretation is covered until you ask for it, and what you see first are the findings you would have in front of you in the room.

Every image says where it came from

The atlas pieces come from public banks — PTB-XL, ISIC and the like — released under licences that require attribution. That is why source and licence are printed on the card even when they look ugly, and why the ones we could not use are simply not there.

And the reasoning for every option, not just the right one

Across the 2,434 exam items, every distractor states why it is a distractor. Knowing why C is wrong is what stops you ticking it next year under a different stem.

If you cannot check where a fact comes from, you should not memorise it for an exam that will decide treatments.

You can use the whole app as a guest. In that mode your progress, notes and highlights live only on your phone.

With an account, only you get in

Sync is encrypted in transit and the server rules only allow reading and writing your own document.

No ad SDKs and no shared identifiers. That is why the app never asks for tracking permission on iOS: there is nothing to track.
