Hallazgos

Sigue la rotación de 270° del asa intestinal media alrededor de la arteria mesentérica superior y su reentrada en el abdomen.

Interpretación

La rotación coloca el intestino en su posición definitiva tras una herniación fisiológica en el cordón.

Perla clínica

El fallo de rotación (malrotación) predispone al vólvulo del intestino medio, una urgencia neonatal. La onfalocele es la persistencia de la herniación.
