En la cara anterior domina el ventrículo derecho, con la aurícula derecha a la derecha, la aorta y el tronco pulmonar saliendo del centro.

Interpretación

La vista anterior (esternocostal) es la que se expone al abrir el tórax; orienta la punción pericárdica.

Perla clínica

La silueta cardíaca anterior es sobre todo ventrículo derecho; el ápex (punta) corresponde al ventrículo izquierdo, en el 5º espacio, línea medioclavicular.
