Diferencia el CD4 colaborador (coordina la respuesta) del CD8 citotóxico (destruye células infectadas).

Interpretación

Los CD4 orquestan la inmunidad mediante citocinas; los CD8 matan directamente las células diana.

Perla clínica

El VIH destruye los CD4: sin ellos colapsa toda la respuesta (infecciones oportunistas). Los CD8 reconocen MHC-I; los CD4, MHC-II.
