Hallazgos

Distingue el amnios (interno, contiene el líquido amniótico) del corion, y el saco vitelino.

Interpretación

Las membranas fetales protegen y alojan al feto; el líquido amniótico amortigua y permite el movimiento.

Perla clínica

El líquido amniótico refleja la función fetal: el oligohidramnios sugiere problema renal/urinario; el polihidramnios, dificultad de deglución (atresia esofágica) o del SNC. El feto lo produce (orina) y lo traga.
