Hallazgos

Sigue la sucesión pronefros → mesonefros → metanefros (riñón definitivo) y el ascenso renal desde la pelvis.

Interpretación

El riñón definitivo (metanefros) surge de la yema ureteral y el blastema metanéfrico, y asciende a la fosa lumbar.

Perla clínica

El fallo de ascenso deja un riñón pélvico; la fusión de los polos inferiores da el riñón en herradura (atrapado bajo la mesentérica inferior). El oligohidramnios sugiere patología renal fetal.
