Hallazgos

Identifica la cresta ectodérmica apical (AER, crecimiento proximodistal) y la zona de actividad polarizante (ZPA, eje anteroposterior/Shh).

Interpretación

Los miembros crecen dirigidos por centros señalizadores (AER, ZPA) sobre el mesénquima.

Perla clínica

La talidomida causa focomelia (semanas 4-8, ventana crítica de los miembros). Sonic hedgehog (ZPA) controla el eje de los dedos; su exceso da polidactilia.
