Reconoce el cuerpo, la rama, el ángulo, el cóndilo (articular) y la apófisis coronoides, con el agujero mentoniano.

Interpretación

La mandíbula es el único hueso móvil del cráneo; articula en la ATM y aloja los dientes inferiores.

Perla clínica

El nervio dentario inferior entra por el agujero mandibular y sale por el mentoniano (referencia de la anestesia dental). El ángulo es zona de fractura frecuente.
